Credit card debt while at school?

I am in just under 10,000 dollars in credit card debt. About 9,600 to be exact. I have controlled my spending habits as my debt used to be 15,000. All of this debt is on 4 credit cards. I am going to be going to school full time in August. I think I can get the debt down to 8,000 thousand before I go to school. The problem is I wont be able to work while I am at school. I will be attending school full time and I am on the tennis team so I will be traveling to much. I got a job at the school but it only pays 200 a month. Which 50 goes toward my phone and I can%26#039;t keep up with the monthly payments on the card. Are there loans that I can have deffered while I will be at school. I need help with this. Any suggestions. Nobody knows about this either. My parents always told me to watch my credit and I am going to be really embarissed if they find out. I want to keep this a secret if possible. Please help, any suggestions.

I was in the same situation. In retrospect, do you really need the phone, and are you on a tennis scholarship.

The worst thing you can do is keep anything a secret, but let them know that you will be paying it down, and you don%26#039;t want them to worry.

If you don%26#039;t pay now, you will pay later. In terms of higher interest rates on your house, car loans, business credit and so on.

You need to decide what you want to do and if you can substitute your tennis for a job. that 9600 will grow before you know it.
