Credit card debt in Ireland..am i in big trouble?

hi, i studied in Ireland and came back a year ago to my country.. unfortunately i left my credit card debt about 500euros and right now i%26#039;m unable settle my debt since the currency in my country is small..will they be able to sue me in my country?they do have my address and i have received 3 letters from the bank stating they will take legal action against me..am i in big trouble?

What country do you live in now?



They can sue you, but they need to do it in an Irish court. Then they need to figure how how to transfer their foreign judgment here for enforcement (very difficult). They they have to collect (even more difficult).



Of course they are going to threaten you with legal action! That is their job to make threats they can%26#039;t uphold.



They will not come after you for a debt that small. Relax.
