Hello,
I acquired credit card debt in the years between 2001 and 2006 and have been making a point of paying my credit card bill on time since then, and making more than the minimum payment (far more when possible) in an attempt to get out of that debt at some point before my age reaches triple digits. My credit card company seems to arbitrarily apply mysterious charges after the fact, and the end result is that I%26#039;ve literally made $200 *LESS* of a dent into my debt than I thought I did, and for that matter than it appeared I did on the bank%26#039;s website a couple of days after I made the payment. It%26#039;s exceedingly frustrating and I%26#039;m at my wit%26#039;s end with these people. Can anyone tell me whether they recommend declaring bankruptcy or not (and why), or other options. (Bearing in mind that I have no, and I mean *NO* interest in acquiring other credit cards.) Thanks in advance...

I also had similar debt problems with credit card co. adding all kinds of charges.. If you are prepared to pay 1/2 call them and propose this. If you just let it go and not pay, i know when they realize it they will try to make some kind of deal with you. Before it gets to this call them and try to negotiate paying it off, not adding additional finance charges with agreement of a lump sum per month etc. Good luck

I normally don%26#039;t recommend this, but when a financial institution starts adding fees you need to transfer this debt to another instituion if possible. There are too many banks today that want your business. This puts them in a position to bend over backwards for you. I would suggest shopping around.
I would not file for bankruptcy. That is a 10 year mistake. I will recommend you visit http://www.your-credit-solution.com/debt... . They offer several solutions to reduce your debt for good. I have used one of their solutions to reduce my debt so much I was able to go from working 2 jobs to 1. You should check them out.
Good Luck

Try paying your bills. Stop blaming others. Stop being a deadbeat and take responsibility for your actions.
