Just read a post about two Canadians (now living in Canada again) who have outstanding credit card debts in the Uk. I have the same problem, except my debt is in Japan. What will happen???

First off... American courts have no jurisiction over the matter. Therefore, you cannot be sued for the debt. As far as your credit report goes... If the debt should happen to be reported or appear on your credit report you can simply dispute it and the credit bureau will have no way to verify it and it will be removed from your report.
